Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Tinypad ("Service") collects, uses, and protects your information.
Tinypad follows a minimal data approach. We process what is required to operate the Service and, only with your permission, limited product analytics or ad measurement events.
Information We Collect
Authentication Data
When you sign in using Google or Apple through Better Auth, we receive:
- A unique user ID
- Basic account metadata required for authentication, such as name and email address when supplied by the provider
We do not store passwords and we do not manage your Google or Apple credentials.
User Data
We store the data you create in the Service, including:
- Bookmarks (URLs, titles, icons, grouping)
- Launchpad preferences and account plan information
- Your current Terms and Privacy Policy acceptance records
This data is private and only accessible through your authenticated account.
Optional Product Analytics
If you allow usage analytics, we collect an anonymous, limited set of events about:
- Website visits and performance issues
- General interactions with key product features
We do not track bookmark URLs or titles, group names, search text, import filenames, or free-form error messages. We do not record your screen, use heatmaps, collect IP-based location data, or sell this data to anyone.
Optional Ad Measurement
If you allow ad measurement, Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API process limited visit, checkout, purchase, and browser data to measure Tinypad advertising. This does not include your name, email address, or bookmark content. Meta may use cookies and this data for ad measurement and delivery. You can change this choice from the footer or through Your Online Choices.
Local Storage
We use browser local or session storage for your theme, launchpad preference cache, and analytics choices. Only after you allow the corresponding optional measurement do we also use browser storage to support it. Ad measurement may store Meta browser or ad-click identifiers. Your choices apply only to the current browser.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data strictly to:
- Provide and operate the Service
- Authentication purposes
- Store and retrieve your bookmarks
- Maintain system performance and security
- Measure and improve Tinypad advertising when you allow ad measurement
We do not sell your data.
Data Storage
Application data and legal acceptance records are stored using MongoDB and related infrastructure providers. Optional product analytics are processed in PostHog's European Union cloud region. Optional ad measurement data is processed by Meta through Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API.
Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party services including:
- Google and Apple (authentication)
- Better Auth (authentication)
- PostHog (optional product analytics)
- Meta (optional ad measurement through Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API)
- Vercel (hosting, aggregate web analytics, and performance insights)
- Infrastructure providers, including database services
These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.
Data Retention
We retain your application data for as long as your account is active. Third-party providers retain optional analytics and ad measurement data according to their own policies.
If your account is deleted, your data may be permanently removed. Backup copies may persist temporarily.
We do not guarantee indefinite data storage.
Data Control
You can:
- Delete your bookmarks within the Service
- Allow or decline future product analytics and ad measurement independently for the current browser from the analytics link in the footer
- Delete your Tinypad account and associated application and legal acceptance records
- Stop using the Service at any time
Declining either optional choice stops the corresponding future collection on that browser. You may contact us for requests concerning data already collected.
Security
We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure.
International Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in different countries depending on infrastructure providers.
Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under the age of 18.
External Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updates.
